Lead Instructor Compass Outreach and Education Center | Grades K-8 Compass Outreach and Education Center is growing and seeking two exceptional educators to join our innovative microschool team: Lead Instructor (Grades K-8) At Compass, we believe education should be engaging, meaningful, and built around how children actually learn. Our program moves beyond traditional textbook instruction by blending project-based learning, hands-on experiences, personalized support, and strong academic foundations. We serve approximately 20-25 students daily in a nurturing, small-group environment where educators have the freedom to be creative and make a real impact. About Compass Our learning environment is best described as: Microschool Private School Small Class Sizes Project-Based Learning Blended Learning Multi-Age Learning Entrepreneurship-Focused Nature-Based Learning Progressive Education Personalized Instruction Lead Instructor (Grades K-8) The Lead Instructor will guide the daily classroom experience and serve as the primary academic leader.
Responsibilities:
Lead instruction in a multi-age classroom setting Deliver engaging lessons in core subject areas Create project-based and experiential learning opportunities Foster student curiosity, collaboration, and confidence Maintain strong classroom culture and behavior systems Supervise support staff and classroom flow Communicate regularly with families Lead parent conferences Track student progress and maintain records Participate in school events and team meetings
Ideal Candidate:
Strong classroom leader Creative and flexible thinker Experienced with elementary or mixed-grade students Passionate about personalized learning Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field Valid Florida teaching certificate preferred Minimum 2 years experience in a K-8 setting preferred Reading or Math endorsement preferred for Interventionist Strong communication and organizational skills Tech comfortable CPR certified or willing to obtain Compensation Salary based on experience and qualifications Why Compass?
