Its a fun mostly stress free job. You can do it often or seldom. Working with kids and teaching them chess and a few other strategy games from time to time. Ussually the class starts at 220 or 3 or 330 on weekdays. The afterschool times are the most important 220 to 4ish. So these afterschool times should be flexible for you. Even if its just a couple or one time a week! In the summer there are longer camps like 9 to 12. Usually the pay is. In the range of 65 to 80 dollars. For an hour. During the weekdays. The summer camps. Or you get several hours in a row. It's more along the lines. Of 35 to 45 range. This also goes for. Camps. During the year. People who like kids. And don't mind speaking in front of a class usually. Enjoy our style. And this job quite a bit. And usually work for me in some capacity for a long time. They at least have it as an option. You should know how to play chess BUT you don't have to be that good. We can work with you to improve your chess and classroom control. You should also of course enjoy working with kids. We teach mostly at schools homes and librarys. Its mostly part time or contract ( not a fulltime job). Classes are usually 50 minites and camps are generally 3 hours and a few are longer. It is something nice to do on the side. Can be one day a week or more. A Break from the rat race! Also, people who have worked with us usually have stayed with us in some compacity for years. In some cases people ahve left and come back. It shows we are a good company to work for.
