The Lead Gymnastics Instructor is responsible for organizing and instructing class in a safe, enjoyable and positive environment. This position may involve early morning, evening and weekend responsibilities. This job is performed to standard when all work is completed accurately and on time, with minimal supervision.
QUALIFICATIONS
16+ years of age 3-5 years of experience in gymnastics setting High school diploma or equivalent Have strong communication skills with desire to meet everyone at their level of experience Enjoyment from working with children and keeping positive relationships with their parents USAG Safety Certification Preferred
RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepares and maintains gymnastic class area before and after program; organizes, sets up and puts away class equipment; reports damaged equipment Officiates sport/activity matches and games as scheduled Leads energizing, fun, safe and educational classes/practices/games, as directed by the coordinator, to accomplish the YMCA mission and goals Ability to process, understand and respond appropriately to emergency situations Track participation, distribute program evaluations/customer surveys to improve quality of program and retention of participants Assist in parties and special events as needed Creates lessons plans/curriculum for review and substitution needs Maintain quality service by following organization standards Maintain facilities and equipment in safe working order Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications. Perform any other functions necessary for the smooth and efficient operation of the
