Job Description

Love pickleball? Love people? Come grow the game with us! The North Penn YMCA is seeking a dynamic and energetic Pickleball Instructor to lead engaging pickleball classes and clinics for participants of all ages and skill levels. In this role, you will inspire a love for the sport while fostering a safe, fun, and inclusive environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about sports coaching, experienced working with diverse groups, and eager to promote healthy activity through expert instruction. With flexible part-time opportunities, YMCA benefits, and the chance to make a real difference in people's lives, this is an opportunity to turn your passion for pickleball into meaningful work Duties Lead group pickleball lessons, clinics, and recreational sessions for children and adults Demonstrate proper techniques, rules, and strategies of pickleball to participants Ensure safety protocols are followed during all activities, including first aid and CPR readiness Provide individualized coaching to help players improve their skills and confidence Maintain equipment, set up courts, and ensure a clean, organized playing environment Communicate effectively with participants, parents, and staff to promote program engagement Foster a positive team atmosphere by collaborating with other instructors and staff members Qualifications Prior experience in sports coaching or teaching pickleball preferred; experience working with children highly valued Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate diverse groups of learners Knowledge of pickleball rules, techniques, and safety procedures Certifications in first aid, CPR/AED operation required; additional sports-specific training instruction experience a plus Background in Lifeguard experience, swimming, martial arts such as karate or judo, or other sports like soccer or basketball is advantageous Experience working with children or in childcare settings preferred; familiarity with behavior management techniques beneficial Demonstrated leadership skills in team environments; experience coaching or teaching physical education highly desirable Join us as a Pickleball Instructor and help us promote active lifestyles while making a positive impact on our community!
Pay:
$11.00 - $16.00 per hour
