Key Qualifications:

Current certification as a Special Education Teacher Preferable mild-moderate or learning disability certification Experience working with middle school-aged students, ideally grades 6-8 Familiarity with developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families Commitment to creating an inclusive, supportive classroom atmosphere

Role Responsibilities:

Provide specialized instruction within a resource classroom for students with identified learning needs Adapt curriculum materials and teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to monitor and support student progress Develop, implement, and manage IEPs, documenting progress and adjusting as necessary Foster a safe, structured, and engaging classroom that encourages student participation and growth Track and report on student achievement and compliance with state and federal guidelines
