Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Current certification in Special Education (appropriate to the state requirements) Experience teaching special education, preferably at the middle school level Skill in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learners

Key Responsibilities:

Teach resource math to students in grades 6-8, adapting lessons to meet individual needs Manage a caseload of 32 students, ensuring each receives the appropriate level of support Maintain accurate records and progress monitoring aligned with IEPs and school policies Collaborate with general education teachers, aides, and support staff to foster student success Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and ongoing professional development Provide a positive learning environment that empowers students to reach academic and behavioral goals This contract role follows a standard Monday through Friday schedule, with onsite hours from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm, offering predictability and stability throughout the academic year.
