This position supports students with extensive support needs in a self-contained classroom setting and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact throughout the school year.

6.5 hours per day

Contract Dates:

October 2026 through June 2027

Pay:

$51-$56 per hour

Setting:
Self-Contained Special Education Classroom Grade Level:

4th-5th

Grade Student Population:

Students with Behavioral and Autism-related Extensive Support Needs Responsibilities Deliver specialized instruction aligned with students' IEP goals Create and maintain a structured, supportive learning environment Implement behavior intervention strategies and classroom management plans Collaborate with special education staff, related service providers, and families Monitor student progress and maintain required documentation Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team collaboration Requirements Active California Education Specialist Credential (Moderate/Severe or Extensive Support Needs equivalent) Experience working with students with autism, behavioral needs, or extensive support needs preferred Strong classroom management and communication skills Ability to develop and implement individualized educational programs Current state and district compliance requirements as applicable Why Work with SHC Education?
