Starting between the hourly rate of $20.20 and $22.72 per hour. Academic Intervention Specialist for grades K-8 at Water of Life Christian School. This position supports students with various learning needs and meets with classroom teachers to create lesson plans to support students in class. May meet with SELPA (district supported personnel), attend IEP meetings, 504 meetings and parent meetings; help to create goals for students; and assist in writing 504's. Candidate will also conduct Entrance Exams, STAR testing and MAP testing and assist in analyzing the data. Candidate should have a heart for ministry to children and implementing the core values of Water of Life Community Church.
Academic Intervention Specialist Duties:
Provide Instruction and Services:
Instruct and support students identified in Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) or Individual Service Plans (ISPs), focusing on improving academic success through tailored interventions.
IEP/ISP Coordination:
Participate in the development, implementation, and review of IEPs/ISPs, providing regular progress updates to parents, teachers, and administrators.
Assessment and Progress Monitoring:
Conduct assessments to measure student progress toward IEP/ISP goals and adapt instructional methods as needed.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with teachers, parents, and other staff to ensure cohesive support for students with special needs.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of student progress, prepare progress reports, and document all relevant interactions and interventions.
Requirements / Qualifications
