A Special Education Teacher teaches students who have disabilities, and adapts teaching methods to meet the needs of students. Assesses students and helps to develop individualized education plans that specify the services and accommodations needed for each student. Works in a classroom that includes only students with IEPs, or works with students and teachers in regular classes. For students with severe disabilities, may focus on developing skills for independent living. Works as part of a team that includes therapists, school counselors or social workers.

Job Description
Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
Valid Special Education teaching credential or ability to obtain one before start date Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or related field Previous experience working with students in mild to moderate settings is preferred Strong knowledge of IEP process and progress monitoring Ability to adapt curriculum and instructional methods to meet diverse needs Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and colleagues Commitment to fostering inclusion and supporting student growthKey Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each students strengths and needs Provide engaging, differentiated instruction in small groups or one-on-one settings Monitor and document student progress, assessing learning outcomes and adjusting strategies as needed Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including general educators and related service providers Communicate progress and insights with families, fostering positive partnerships Maintain accurate records and uphold compliance with all relevant laws and policiesHighlights & Benefits:
