Key Qualifications & Experience:

Valid certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing Experience developing and implementing IEPs and educational accommodations Strong knowledge of audiology equipment, including cochlear implant technology Ability to travel between multiple sites within the county Commitment to onsite, in-person services (remote work is not an option) Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, especially with diverse students and school staff Passion for student advocacy and accessibility in education

Position Responsibilities:

Provide direct instruction and support to Deaf/Hard of Hearing students across various schools Adapt curriculum to meet individual communication and learning needs Collaborate with school teams, specialists, and families to monitor progress and update educational plans Maintain up-to-date records and documentation in compliance with program standards Offer training and consultation to staff regarding assistive technology and inclusive classroom strategies Monitor equipment use, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with audiologists as needed Travel regularly within the county to meet student needs (mileage reimbursed) Enjoy the flexibility of a full-time, 35-hour-per-week contract that allows you to work with students in a variety of educational environmentsmaking a tangible difference every day.
