Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Valid teaching certification or credential in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education or a closely related field Solid understanding of a variety of communication modalities, including ASL, auditory-verbal, and cued speech Previous experience supporting students with hearing loss in K-12 settings strongly preferred Familiarity with creating and implementing IEPs for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students Ability to collaborate effectively with classroom teachers, families, and support staff Skilled in adapting instruction and materials to fit individual student needs Sensitivity to diverse student backgrounds and the unique needs of Deaf/Hard of Hearing learners
