A Special Education Teacher teaches students who have disabilities, and adapts teaching methods to meet the needs of students. Assesses students and helps to develop individualized education plans that specify the services and accommodations needed for each student. Works in a classroom that includes only students with IEPs, or works with students and teachers in regular classes. For students with severe disabilities, may focus on developing skills for independent living. Works as part of a team that includes therapists, school counselors or social workers.

ESS Clinical is actively seeking motivated and dedicated Special Education Teachers to support Aurora Public Schools, CO for the upcoming 2026-2027 School Year! W2 Starting at $52/hr No non-competes in our contracts
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Special Education or a related field Valid license as a Special Education Teacher in CO Required Early Childhood Teacher Certificate Required Experience working as a Special Education Teachr preferred but not required Requirement of Certification in NCI W2

Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs, tailored to their unique learning styles and abilities. Provide direct instruction and support to students with disabilities in various academic subjects, social skills, and life skills, adapting teaching strategies to meet their needs. Collaborate with other educators, parents, and support staff to monitor student progress, adjust instructional approaches, and ensure a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
