Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a lasting impact as a Special Education Teacher supporting elementary students with mild to moderate needs in a vibrant school community near Broomfield, CO. This contract opportunity begins August 20, 2026 and runs through June 3, 2027, offering a consistent weekly schedule of 34 hours, Tuesday through Friday (with Mondays off!). Each day starts at 7:30 am and ends at 4:30 pm, giving you structured time to connect and foster growth in your students.

What We're Looking For:

Valid CDE Special Education Teacher licensure Experience or passion for working with elementary students in a school setting Knowledge of best practices for supporting students with varying exceptionalities Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff and families Dedication to creating inclusive and positive learning environments

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct instruction and support to students with mild to moderate disabilities Develop individualized education programs (IEPs) and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team Assess student progress and modify interventions as needed Communicate effectively with school personnel and families regarding student needs and goals Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with school and state requirements
