A Special Education Teacher teaches students who have disabilities, and adapts teaching methods to meet the needs of students. Assesses students and helps to develop individualized education plans that specify the services and accommodations needed for each student. Works in a classroom that includes only students with IEPs, or works with students and teachers in regular classes. For students with severe disabilities, may focus on developing skills for independent living. Works as part of a team that includes therapists, school counselors or social workers.

Valid and current Special Education Teacher license (must submit copy with application) Experience with middle school-aged students strongly preferred Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Commitment to a collaborative, inclusive educational environmentRole Responsibilities:
Provide tailored instruction and support in a Significant Support Needs classroom Maintain accurate records and progress reports for each student Collaborate closely with colleagues, families, and school staff Foster a positive, nurturing learning atmosphere Monday, Thursday, Friday schedule: 8:40am-3:50pm,Wednesday:
