Desired Experience & Qualifications:

Valid teaching certification in Special Education Previous experience working with K-12 students with IEPs or 504 plans Familiarity with developing, implementing, and evaluating Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Dedication to following best practices in special education, differentiated instruction, and behavioral management Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and families

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement curriculum modifications and accommodations for students with various learning, emotional, and physical challenges Conduct assessments, gather data, and monitor student progress to inform instruction Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation in compliance with federal, state, and school guidelines Participate in IEP meetings, providing input and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team Foster a supportive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment Maintain regular communication with families to share progress and strategies for support Adapt to the unique culture of the school and respond flexibly to changing needs This position offers the chance to bring your expertise and compassion to a school near Monument, CO, working closely with a committed team of educators to make a difference every day.
