Overview Aggie Brothers Employees, LLC is seeking a dedicated Accounting Operations Specialist to manage and elevate the financial operations of our multi-entity organization as our first in-house accountant. In this role, you will take hands-on operational ownership of day-to-day accounting, including multi-entity accounting, payroll processing, client billing, reconciliations, and routine financial analysis. As our first internal accounting hire, you will work collaboratively with leadership to figure out and refine our internal accounting processes as we grow. Duties Manage accounting activities across multiple business entities, maintaining accurate records and appropriate separation between entities. Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger activity. Manage and process payroll, including payroll-related reconciliations, deductions, taxes, and reporting. Lead the monthly close process and ensure financial records are complete and accurate. Prepare and review monthly financial statements, management reports, and financial analysis. Manage and reconcile Company credit card accounts, including transaction coding, receipt documentation, and monthly reconciliations. Oversee client account accounting and maintenance, ensuring transactions, balances, notices, and records are accurate and properly maintained. Monitor accounts receivable, outstanding balances, recurring revenue, and collections. Reconcile intercompany transactions and maintain accurate entity-level accounting. Monitor cash flow, expenses, budgets, and account balances. Coordinate with outside CPAs, tax professionals, benefits providers, and other financial partners as needed. Assist with year-end close, tax preparation, audits, and other financial reporting requirements. Maintain organized and accurate accounting documentation and financial records. Identify discrepancies, inefficiencies, and opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls. Ensure accounting and payroll practices remain compliant with applicable laws, regulations, and Company policies. Provide leadership with timely and accurate financial information to support business decisions. Maintain strict confidentiality regarding payroll, employee compensation, client accounts, financial information, and other sensitive Company information. Qualification Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience preferred. Demonstrated experience with multi-entity accounting. Strong payroll processing and payroll accounting experience required. Experience with client account management, recurring billing, and account reconciliation required. Experience with month-end and year-end close. Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial statements. Advanced proficiency with accounting software. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to independently manage deadlines and prioritize competing responsibilities. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with leadership and outside professionals. High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential financial, client, and employee information.
