Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Valid Special Education teaching certification for the state or eligibility to obtain. Demonstrated experience in high school special education environments. Background in resource/co-teaching models or supporting general education classrooms. Experience working with neurodiverse student populations in self-contained settings preferred. Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills. Ability to design and implement differentiated instruction and individualized education plans (IEPs). Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom culture for all learners.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide tailored instruction to high school students in resource/co-teaching or self-contained classrooms, adapting content to meet diverse learning needs. Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure coordinated services and successful student outcomes. Develop, monitor, and report on student progress toward IEP goals. Employ evidence-based behavioral and academic strategies to maximize engagement and achievement. Maintain accurate documentation, comply with relevant regulations, and participate in IEP meetings and parent conferences.
