Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Join a dedicated educational team as a Special Education Teacher working onsite with middle and high school students. This full-time contract position is located in Danielson, CT, providing an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students requiring specialized support.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized and group instruction tailored to meet the unique needs of students in middle and high school special education programs. Develop and implement educational plans in compliance with IEP requirements and state regulations. Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to foster an inclusive learning environment. Monitor student progress and adjust instructional techniques accordingly to enhance learning outcomes. Maintain accurate documentation and participate in team meetings and evaluations.Qualifications and Experience:
Must hold a valid 165 Comprehensive Special Education Certification. Experience working with middle and high school students in a special education setting. Strong knowledge of special education instructional strategies and legal requirements.
