Key Qualifications:

Valid certification as a Special Education Teacher Experience working with neuro-diverse students, preferably at the high school level Familiarity with self-contained classroom teaching methods and differentiated instruction Strong collaboration and communication skills Ability to create an engaging, supportive, and structured learning environment Dedication to promoting a culture of respect, understanding, and positive behavior support

Main Responsibilities:

Develop and deliver individualized instruction to high school students in a self-contained classroom Collaborate with related service providers, paraprofessionals, and families to implement IEPs and behavioral strategies Monitor, assess, and document student progress Adapt lessons and materials to meet diverse learning needs Support the social, emotional, and academic development of each student Foster a classroom community that celebrates individuality and promotes students' self-advocacy skills
