Elementary Special Education Teacher - Stamford, CT Amergis Educational Staffing - 3.5 Rocky Hill, CT Job Details Full-time $52 an hour 15 hours ago Qualifications Student-centered approaches (student motivation techniques) Full Job Description Provide special education instruction in a self-contained elementary school classroom serving students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Develop and implement individualized educational programs (IEPs) to support students' academic, behavioral, social, and communication goals. Adapt lesson plans and instructional strategies to meet the unique learning needs of each student. Utilize evidence-based interventions and behavior management techniques to promote student success and engagement. Collaborate with general education staff, related service providers, administrators, and families to support student progress. Monitor, document, and communicate student performance, progress toward IEP goals, and behavioral outcomes. Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive classroom environment that fosters student growth and independence. Participate in IEP meetings, team meetings, and other school-based collaborative activities. Full-time, Monday through Friday school schedule. Interviews are being scheduled immediately for an ASAP placement.
