9644929-06902 Job Description Exciting contract opportunities are available for two dedicated special education teachers for the upcoming school year. Located in a vibrant educational community near Stamford, CT, these full-time roles offer the chance to directly impact middle school students academic and personal growth.

Position Details:

Full-time, Monday through Friday 35-37.5 hours per week Two immediate vacancies The first opening involves working with sixth-grade students, teaching English Language Arts, specialized reading, mathematics, and specialized math. The ideal candidate will bring knowledge or training in reading interventions such as SPIRE, WILSON, Orton-Gillingham (OG), or similar methodologies. A current special education certification, or eligibility for certification in Connecticut, is required. The second position provides academic assistance for students in grades 6-8. Focus is placed on developing executive functioning skills and supporting students core subject growth in a resource-like classroom setting. Special education certification or eligibility for certification in Connecticut is a must.

Qualifications:

Certification in special education or eligibility for certification in CT (required for both positions) Knowledge of and/or experience with reading intervention programs (preferred for ELA/Math position) Passion for supporting diverse learners and fostering an inclusive classroom environment Strong skills in collaboration, communication, and adapting instruction to meet student needs Experience with executive functioning interventions is a plus
