Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Doggie Daycare Attendant - Dog Bather to join our vibrant team! In this role, you will be responsible for caring for dogs during their stay, maintaining cleanliness and grooming standards, and ensuring each pet's safety and happiness. Duties Safely handle and restrain dogs during bathing, grooming, and play activities using animal handling techniques. Bathe, dry, brush, and groom dogs according to individual needs and company standards. Monitor dogs' behavior during playtime and grooming sessions to ensure safety and well-being. Maintain cleanliness of grooming areas, kennels, and common spaces through regular sanitization and organization. Assist with pet boarding duties including feeding, administering medications if needed, and providing companionship. Support team lifting efforts when handling large or heavy dogs to prevent injury. Provide excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners about their pets' needs and behaviors. Experience Prior veterinary experience or veterinary technician experience is highly desirable. Experience in pet sitting, dog training, kennel work or animal handling enhances your ability to succeed in this role. Knowledge of pet grooming techniques and animal restraint methods is preferred. Hands-on experience with animal care facilities sanitization and outdoor work is a plus. Strong skills in pet care, animal behavior understanding, and customer service are essential. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling larger animals or equipment. Previous animal handling or veterinary assistant experience will help you excel in maintaining high standards of animal care.
