Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting young learners in an environment that values dedication and empathy. A contract paraprofessional role is available to work with K-2 students, focusing on those who are nonverbal or on the autism spectrum. Immediate availability to begin is highly preferred, so you can make a real difference right away.
Key Qualifications:
Experience working in a school setting, preferably with K-2 students Previous background supporting children with autism and nonverbal communication Strong communication capabilities and a patient, adaptable approach Team player mindset, collaborating effectively with teachers and specialized staff Ability to assist with behavior management and individualized education plans Enthusiasm for making an impact in students' day-to-day learning or development
Your Role Will Include:
Delivering direct support in and outside the classroom for K-2 students Assisting with academic activities, daily routines, and social interactions Implementing individualized supports specified by teachers and therapists Encouraging participation, engagement, and independence among students Communicating student progress and concerns to lead educators Helping create a positive, inclusive class environment Benefits of this
