Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid Special Education Teacher certification (or eligibility in CT) Experience with K-5 students and ASD-specific instructional strategies Familiarity with IEP development and implementation Adaptability and excellent communication skills Previous work in self-contained or Autism-specific classrooms preferred
Key Responsibilities:
Provide individualized instruction to K-5 students in a self-contained ASD setting Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team Foster a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment Utilize evidence-based methods for ASD and differentiated learning Engage and communicate with families and staff to support student progress
