Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young adults with Autism and will be committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment. This role involves developing individualized education plans (IEPs), implementing effective teaching strategies, and collaborating with parents, staff, and specialists to ensure the success of each student. Responsibilities Develop and implement tailored lesson plans that meet the unique needs of students with disabilities. Conduct assessments to evaluate student progress and adapt instructional methods accordingly. Collaborate with parents, teachers, and support staff to create a cohesive educational experience for students. Provide early intervention strategies to support students in their learning journey. Incorporate literacy education techniques to enhance reading and writing skills among students. Mentor and guide students in social skills development and emotional regulation. Utilize speech therapy techniques as needed to support communication skills. Maintain accurate records of student progress, behavior, and IEP goals. Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and participation. Skills Proficient in lesson planning tailored for diverse learning abilities. Experience working with children, particularly those with special needs. Knowledge intervention practices to support learners effectively. Strong background in evidence-based practices.
