Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make an impact as a dedicated Special Education Teacher, supporting students across a dynamic district near Bear, DE. This contract position offers the opportunity to work onsite, providing vital services to learners who benefit from your expertise and compassion. With a full-time schedule of 35 hours per week (30-minute unpaid lunch), you'll be part of a collaborative team, addressing diverse educational needs throughout the district.
Key Qualifications:
Active Delaware Special Education teaching certification (required; please attach valid certificate with your application) Experience or strong interest in working with students who need specialized instruction and support Ability to adapt strategies and interventions to meet varying student needs and learning styles Strong organizational and communication skills for engaging with students, parents, and staff Self-motivated and flexible approach to service across multiple school sites
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized instruction and interventions consistent with students' IEPs Collaborate with general education teachers, paraeducators, and related service providers to promote inclusive learning opportunities Participate in IEP meetings, progress monitoring, and data collection Foster safe, nurturing, and inclusive classrooms where all students can thrive Communicate effectively with families and advocate for students' unique needs
