Works in a classroom that includes only students with IEPs, or works with students and teachers in regular classes. For students with severe disabilities, may focus on developing skills for independent living. Works as part of a team that includes therapists, school counselors or social workers.

Job Description
Key Qualifications:
Current DE Paraeducator Permit is required; pending status is not accepted (attach screenshot of DEEDS portal if permit is pending). Experience as a school paraprofessional or in a similar supportive setting preferred. Ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate patience, flexibility, and compassion. Willingness to complete required $85 criminal background check (fingerprinting). Candidates with RBT certification must secure their own BCBA supervision outside school hours if wishing to maintain credentials; district does not supervise or compensate for RBT work in this role.Primary Responsibilities:
Provide classroom support to two sixth-grade special education students as a shared paraprofessional in a 1:2 setting. Foster a positive, inclusive learning atmosphere by assisting alongside 1:1 paras. Help implement individualized education programs and deliver accommodations tailored to student needs. Adapt to classroom routines and school policies while maintaining clear communication with teachers and support staff. Assist with managing student behavior and promoting engagement in daily activities.Benefits:
