KinderCare is seeking a Senior Teacher to lead classrooms in our Sunrise KinderCare center. In this role, you will design and deliver developmentally appropriate curriculum, guide daily activities, and create a warm, inclusive learning environment for young children. You will mentor assistant teachers, partner closely with families, and monitor each child's growth and milestones. The Senior Teacher collaborates with center leadership to uphold health, safety, and licensing standards while modeling best practices in early childhood education and supporting continuous improvement across the center. Responsibilities Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and daily lesson plans Lead classroom activities to promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development Maintain a safe, healthy, and engaging learning environment that meets licensing standards Assess and document children's progress and share updates with families Mentor and support assistant teachers and classroom staff Collaborate with center leadership on program quality and continuous improvement Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to build strong partnerships Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and regulatory requirements Manage classroom routines, schedules, and behavior guidance practices Participate in professional development and apply best practices in early childhood education Required Skills Curriculum planning for early childhood education Classroom management for young children Child development assessment and documentation Parent and caregiver communication Knowledge of early childhood licensing and safety standards Behavior guidance and social-emotional learning strategies Team leadership and staff mentoring Lesson planning and instructional design Record-keeping and reporting for childcare programs Health, safety, and sanitation practices in childcare
