Contract Position Overview Birch Agency is seeking a dedicated and experienced ESE Specialist / Support Facilitator to support students in a school-based setting in Fort Lauderdale, Florida . This part-time opportunity is ideal for a special education professional who enjoys collaborating with general education teachers and supporting students with exceptional educational needs. The ESE Specialist / Support Facilitator will help ensure students receive appropriate accommodations, modifications, and specialized support to access the general education curriculum and make meaningful academic progress. Position Details Part-time school-based position Approximately 15 20 hours per week Fort Lauderdale, FL Support students receiving Exceptional Student Education (ESE) services Collaborative role working alongside general education and special education staff Key Responsibilities Provide specialized support and services to students receiving ESE services. Collaborate with general education teachers to implement accommodations and modifications outlined in students' IEPs. Support students in accessing the general education curriculum. Provide individualized and small-group instructional support as needed. Assist with monitoring student progress and documenting educational outcomes. Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams. Help develop and implement strategies to address students' academic, behavioral, and functional needs. Provide consultation and support to classroom teachers regarding students with disabilities. Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with district and state requirements. Foster an inclusive, supportive, and student-centered learning environment. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Exceptional Student Education, Education, or a related field preferred. Valid Florida ESE/Special Education certification required or eligibility to obtain. Previous school-based special education experience preferred. Knowledge of IEPs, accommodations, modifications, differentiated instruction, and special education procedures. Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
