The district actively schedules interviews starting July 21, 2026, and is eager to welcome a qualified educator for the 2026-2027 academic year.

Key Qualifications:

Valid Florida Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) certification Orientation and Mobility Specialist (OMS) certification

Preferred:

Previous school-based experience (not required) Ability to work with K-12 students and provide both direct and consultative services Strong organizational skills to manage a flexible, itinerant schedule across up to 13 schools

Responsibilities:

Deliver direct and indirect instruction and support to a caseload of 15-20 K-12 students Provide services both on a regular and consultative, once-per-month basis Collaborate with educational teams to develop and implement individualized student plans Travel between schools, using the district office as a home base Participate fully in the district's onboarding and credentialing process to ensure compliance before the contract start date
