Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting middle school students in a vibrant educational setting near Chickamauga, GA. This full-time role focuses on co-teaching Math, Science, and ELA within inclusive classrooms for grades 6 through 8, promoting personal and academic growth for students with diverse learning needs.
What Were Looking For:
Current and active GaPSC SPED Consultative P-12 Teaching Endorsement required Experience working with middle school learners, preferably in co-taught or inclusion settings Solid background in accommodating students with different exceptionalities, including Autism, OHI, SLD, MID, and EBD Comfortable collaborating with general education teachers to design and deliver differentiated instruction Compassion, adaptability, and clear communication skills essential
Your Responsibilities:
Co-teach 6th grade Math and Science with a caseload of approximately 1012 students, adapting lesson plans for diverse learning abilities Co-teach 7th and 8th grade ELA and Science, also with around 1012 students in each grade Support a smooth transition for students entering middle school for the first time Foster an inclusive, positive classroom environment; implement IEPs and behavior plans as appropriate Communicate regularly with families, general educators, and support staff regarding student progress Maintain accurate records, document student growth, and participate in meetings as needed
Extra Information:
This assignment runs ASAP through May 21st, 2027, following the academic year calendar Work weekday hours from 7:45am to 3:45pm, 37.540 hours each week All classrooms are co-taught/inclusion; significant behavior intervention and toileting/diapering are not required Contribute your talents to a fulfilling educational experience for students and grow professionally in a collaborative environment.
