An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support a Pre-K program servicing children aged 35 with diverse and significant needs. This role, available now through May 2027, is a full-time contract position offering the chance to engage, nurture, and guide students at a formative stage in their development.

Key Qualifications:

Valid GaPSC Teaching Certificate with both Special and General Education Endorsements for Pre-K age groups Experience supporting young children with significant needs, especially those who may be non-verbal or exhibit challenging behaviors Comfortable assisting with daily living skills, such as toilet training, diapering, and feeding Adaptability and patience to foster learning in an inclusive environment Excellent communication, collaboration, and observation skills

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver individualized and small-group instruction aligning with each childs IEP goals and developmental level Support students with basic care tasks including toileting, feeding, and hygiene routines Utilize a variety of communication methods and adaptive strategies for non-verbal and low-verbal students Create a nurturing, positive atmosphere where every student feels safe and engaged Collaborate closely with paraeducators, therapists, and families to ensure comprehensive support Monitor progress, document observations, and participate in IEP meetings as required This position offers more than a teaching jobits a chance to influence lives and grow as an educator within a dedicated, collaborative team.
