Qualifications and Experience:

Valid GaPSC Teaching Certificate, including both Special and General Education endorsements for Pre-K age groups Experience working with young children in a special education setting, especially those who are non-verbal or exhibit challenging behaviors Comfortable and skilled with providing hands-on assistance, including toilet training, diapering, and feeding Patience, flexibility, and a collaborative mindset to adapt to the unique needs of each student Excellent communication skills for collaborating with parents, support staff, and fellow educators

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver individualized instruction and support tailored to each childs educational and developmental plan Assist students with activities of daily living, including toilet training and mealtime routines Implement strategies to encourage communication and positive behavior in a nurturing environment Maintain a safe, engaging classroom where all students feel included and supported Collaborate closely with support staff to monitor progress and adjust strategies as needed Maintain accurate documentation and communicate regularly with families on student growth
