Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make an impact this school year by supporting elementary students as a Special Education Teacher in a collaborative learning environment. This contract position is full time, offering you the opportunity to guide and inspire a caseload of approximately 10 students in grades 3-5, all within a single building for the entire academic year. You'll work closely with fellow educators, families, and support staff to create inclusive, engaging educational experiences tailored to each child's unique needs.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Valid Special Education teaching certification Previous experience working with elementary-aged students, preferably in special education settings Strong understanding of IEP development and compliance Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse learning styles and abilities Passion for fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment

Role Responsibilities:

Manage a caseload of around 10 students in grades 3-5, ensuring individualized plans and goals are met Develop and implement instructional strategies that support students' academic and behavioral growth Collaborate with classroom teachers, related service providers, and families Maintain accurate and timely records in compliance with school policies and regulations Attend required team meetings and professional development sessions Create a safe, nurturing, and structured environment that encourages student participation and confidence Utilize creative teaching methods to boost student engagement and independence If you are dedicated to empowering students with diverse needs and thrive in a supportive, single-building community, this is the perfect opportunity to make a difference throughout the school year.
