Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students, families, and schools as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired. This full-time role offers 37.5 hours per week, with flexibility to consider part-time arrangements, and spans from August 27, 2026 through June 9, 2027. Youll be an itinerant educator, engaging with students from Pre-K through transition age across multiple school sites, making a meaningful difference district-wide. As the Vision Related Services Leader, your expertise will help shape best practices department-wide. Youll have the chance to mentor and coach both new and returning staff, guiding colleagues through problem-solving and advocating for resources to ensure effective service delivery. Your leadership will play a key role in the professional growth of your team while fostering a supportive environment for all students with visual impairments.

Key Qualifications:

Active Professional Educators License (PEL) with proper endorsement for teaching students with visual impairments Masters Degree in a relevant field At least 5 years of school-based experience, specifically with visually impaired populations Ability to complete required fingerprinting as part of a time-sensitive credentialing process Strong communication and mentorship skills Willingness to work on-site and travel between school locations
