Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Take on a rewarding role as a Special Education Teacher supporting elementary-aged students. This full-time contract opportunity is available immediately and extends through the end of the school year. You'll play a vital part in creating a positive, inclusive learning environment where every child can reach their fullest potential.
Key Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree is required. Must hold a valid Professional Educator License with LBS 1 endorsement. Previous experience working in special education preferred. Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities. Passion for advocating for diverse learners and differentiated instruction.
Role Responsibilities:
Provide instructional support and specialized interventions for elementary students with a range of learning differences. Develop, implement, and track progress on Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). Utilize evidence-based strategies to foster student engagement, growth, and well-being. Work collaboratively with general education staff, related service providers, and families. Maintain accurate records and timely documentation as mandated. Prepare learning materials, modify curriculum, and use assistive technology as appropriate. Foster a classroom culture that embraces diversity and inclusion.
