Qualifications:

Valid Illinois licensure as a Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Experience or training working with deaf/hard of hearing students Strong communication skills in spoken and/or sign language Dedication to inclusive education practices Collaborative mindset for working with educators, specialists, and families Comfortable working onsite for 35 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement individualized educational plans for each student Provide direct instruction adapted to students preferred communication methods Collaborate with general education teachers to ensure access to curriculum Utilize assistive technologies and resources to support learning Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records Foster a supportive and encouraging classroom atmosphere Engage families in goal setting and regular progress updates
