Key Qualifications:

Hold a valid PEL (Professional Educator License) with LBS1 Endorsement as required by state and discipline Experience teaching students with intellectual or developmental disabilities, preferably at the elementary level Familiarity with online curriculum platforms and differentiated instruction strategies Comfortable collaborating with related service providers and paraprofessionals in an inclusive academic setting Strong organizational, communication, and classroom management skills

Responsibilities:

Lead a self-contained classroom for 4th and 5th graders functioning at approximately a second-grade level Design and implement individualized lesson plans using provided online curriculum Foster a positive, engaging, and structured learning environment tailored to student abilities and goals Coordinate student services with on-site OT, speech, and social work professionals Track student progress and adapt strategies as needed in partnership with support staff and families Maintain compliance with all relevant educational standards and documentation requirements This position offers a full school-year assignment with a commitment of 32.5 hours per week.
