Job Description

Make a meaningful impact working as a Special Education Teacher in a supportive school environment. In this contract position, you'll play a vital role in delivering quality education to a self-contained classroom of students with autism. This full-time opportunity begins as soon as possible and continues for a 12-week period, giving you the chance to provide stability and expertise where its most needed. Hours are from 8:20AM to 3:10PM, Monday through Friday, for a total of 35 hours weekly.
Key Qualifications:
Must hold valid Illinois teaching certification Previous experience in teaching and within school settings is highly preferred Proven skills working with special education, specifically with students on the autism spectrum Ability to manage and support a classroom of roughly 815 self-contained students Availability for onsite responsibilities throughout the full assignment
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized instruction and adapt curriculum to meet students unique needs Foster a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment supporting social and academic growth Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and families to craft and implement personalized education plans Track student progress, communicate regularly with guardians, and participate in IEP meetings Ensure compliance with all school and state regulations for special education This assignment offers you the chance to collaborate with dedicated professionals and make a valued difference in students lives.
