The position begins as soon as possible and continues for 12 weeks, offering an avenue to positively impact young learners through the end of the current term.

Key Qualifications:

Illinois teaching certification in Special Education (required) Prior teaching experience and background in school settings preferred Ability to work on-site and support students in a self-contained environment Passion for working with students with Autism and understanding of best practices in special education Strong classroom management, collaborative, and communication skills

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide direct instruction and adapt curriculum to meet the unique needs of students with Autism Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Foster an inclusive, safe, and structured classroom environment Collaborate with fellow educators, paraprofessionals, and families to support student progress Utilize assessment data to monitor and document student growth and adjust teaching strategies accordingly Participate in school meetings and professional development sessions as needed This role offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 8:20 AM to 3:10 PM, totaling 35 hours per week, and involves carrying a caseload of approximately 8-15 students.
