9652554-46307 Job Description An exciting contract opportunity is available for an experienced Special Education Teacher to support middle school students in a self-contained classroom focusing on emotional disabilities. As a valued team member, youll play a key role in fostering growth and resilience in students who benefit from your specialized knowledge and compassion. This position begins on September 14th and concludes on December 18th, working full-time (37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday). You will work directly with a dynamic group of middle school-aged learners, providing targeted instruction, behavior support, and guidance to encourage personal and academic achievement.

Qualifications:

Valid Indiana Special Education Teacher Certification Previous experience teaching or supporting students with emotional disabilities preferred Strong behavior management and crisis intervention skills Ability to develop and implement personalized education plans Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with parents, related service providers, and administrators

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver individualized and group instruction in a supportive, self-contained environment Design and adjust curriculum to meet each students unique learning needs Monitor progress, collect data, and update IEP goals in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team Foster a positive learning climate that supports emotional regulation and social skills Communicate regularly with families about student progress, challenges, and successes Guide classroom aides or paraprofessionals as needed In recognition of your expertise and dedication, this position provides $40 per hour, paid weekly, along with access to comprehensive benefitsincluding robust medical, dental, and vision coverage; life insurance; a 401k with employer matching; and flexible spending accounts.
