Principal In the role of Special Education Teacher, you will work collaboratively with instructional staff and leadership to cultivate and monitor the deliverance of a high-quality education for each and every student. Responsibilities Design and implement an Individualized Education Program (IEP) for each student assigned to the case load. Responsible for assessing the functioning level of each student and for developing and implementing goals and objectives Responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of the program and participating in the students' interdisciplinary IEP team meeting Maintain and utilize adaptive/assistive equipment and devices Prepare and implement daily written lessons plans Maintain a positive, safe, healthy and controlled learning environment; ensure supervision of all assigned students Direct activities of instructional aides and assure implementation of established instructional procedures Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree current possession of a current Professional Certificate in Special Education (or Actively Pursuing) Experience in developing and implementing special education programs and classroom management for students with developmental disabilities or related experience is preferred Demonstrated ability in written and oral communication Terms of Employment $48,500-$58,000 full-time salary, benefits, and performance pay according to the salary and benefits policy.
