Job Description

Position can start immediately. OrchardGate Apartments is looking to hire for a full-time Lead Maintenance Technician position. Applicants must have at least one to three years of experience in property maintenance. The Maintenance Technician Lead will have direct daily communication between the property manager and the maintenance team. They will supervise other technicians while coordinating and assisting with installation, general maintenance, and repair work in the upkeep of OrchardGate buildings, grounds, and equipment. This person must exhibit a professional appearance and attitude. Full time 40 hours
Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring completion of service requests in a courteous and efficient manner
  • Discuss the priority of vacant apartment rentals with the property manager while keeping downtime to a minimum
  • Performing general maintenance such as plumbing, electrical, heating/air conditioning repair, carpentry, appliance repair, glass replacement, snap flooring, etc.
  • Participating in emergency maintenance as needed.
This position may need to occasionally be on call on weekends and holidays.
Qualifications:
  • Taking pride and responsibility in your work
  • Can stand for long periods of time and walk the community when needed.
  • Appliance repair experience
  • Painting and drywall experience
  • Good organizational skills
  • HVAC experience
  • Understanding and communicating in English
  • No criminal record, valid driver's license
  • Can lift at least 20 pounds when needed
  • Possessing or working toward an associate degree or a trade school certification is a plus. Candidates are encouraged to pursue educational and self-improvement opportunities.
  • Hourly wages will range from $19 to 22 depending upon experience and education.
