Job Description

You'll work exclusively at one high school, ensuring focus and continuity for your caseload of 20-25 students in a resource classroom setting. This position follows a consistent weekday schedule from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, totaling 35 hours per week. You'll have the resources to create an engaging and supportive learning space, collaborating with colleagues in a professional and encouraging environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
Valid Indiana Special Education Teacher (SPED) license required Previous experience working with high school students preferred Strong collaborative skills and ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, students, and families Knowledge of best practices in differentiated instruction, IEP development, and progress monitoring Commitment to fostering inclusion and academic growth for all learners
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct instruction and support for students in accordance with their IEPs Adapt curriculum and modify instruction to meet diverse needs Monitor student progress and document outcomes Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with staff to ensure consistent delivery of services Maintain open communication with families regarding student progress and challenges Promote a positive and safe classroom culture
