Job Description

Make a meaningful impact nurturing students growth and success as a Special Education Teacher in a supportive educational environment. This full-time contract opportunity seeks passionate, dedicated educators to work onsite with middle school and elementary students. Positions are available immediately and continue through late May, offering a chance to foster positive change among young learners with diverse needs.
Openings are tailored for:
Middle School Teacher serving students with emotional disabilities Middle School Teacher focused on students with functional/life skills needs Elementary Teacher supporting students with emotional disabilities
Key Qualifications:
Valid Kansas Special Education Certification (Required) Experience with students exhibiting emotional disabilities and/or requiring life skills support preferred Commitment to fostering inclusive, engaging, and supportive classroom environments Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
Core Responsibilities:
Develop and implement IEPs tailored to students individual needs Deliver targeted instructional strategies aligned with best practices in special education Work collaboratively with colleagues, administration, and families to promote student achievement Support students social, emotional, and behavioral growth through positive reinforcement and structured interventions Maintain accurate documentation on student progress and participate in relevant meetings You will be based at a single campus, supporting a clear sense of community and stability for both educators and students. The contract offers a consistent, full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week, allowing you to build strong relationships and see lasting results in your students well-being and academic journeys.
