Responsibilities include:
Serve as an itinerant resource, supporting multiple schools throughout the academic year Provide guidance and hands-on support to non-certified teachers within special education environments Contribute to IEP writing, progress monitoring, and data collection activities Offer training and strategies for instructional best practices and classroom management Assist with compliance, reporting, and documentation according to district standards Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to optimize student learning and development Required qualifications and experience: Current Louisiana Department of Education certification with a Special Education endorsement (active and in good standing) Proven experience teaching or supporting special education programs Ability to work effectively across different school sites and age groups Strong skills in IEP development, student progress reporting, and instructional adaptation Commitment to upholding all district and state compliance requirements Successful completion of district-mandated drug testing, fingerprinting, and standard background checks Must be available for full-time hours (35 hours/week) and ready to start as soon as possible If you hold the required credentials and are motivated to help students and fellow educators succeed, this role offers a chance to make a positive and wide-reaching impact over the entire school year. to put your experience to work supporting educational growth and inclusion.
