Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as an Educational Diagnostician supporting students in the greater New Orleans area for the upcoming academic year. In this dynamic role, youll collaborate with a dedicated team to provide high-quality diagnostic services, assisting school staff and families in better understanding and supporting student learning needs.
Key Qualifications:
Current and active Louisiana DOE certification is required Demonstrated experience as an Educational Diagnostician in a school setting preferred Ability to conduct assessments, interpret results, and provide comprehensive reports Strong knowledge of special education processes and regulatory compliance Exceptional communication and organizational skills Familiarity with age-appropriate assessment tools and interventions Must complete district-specific credentialing, including a drug screen and fingerprinting
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct educational evaluations for students referred for special education services Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, school staff, and families to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Provide consultative support and recommendations based on assessment results Maintain comprehensive, confidential student records in accordance with state and federal guidelines Serve as a resource for the schools special education processes and best practices Support case management across assigned campuses and adapt to evolving caseloads as needed
