v9666798-70115 Job Description A specialized opportunity is available for educators skilled in visual impairment and Braille instruction to provide telehealth services to a high school student in New Orleans, LA. This contract position focuses on delivering tailored support for one 10th-grade student, emphasizing both visual impairment and Braille literacy development.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver one hour per week of visual impairment (VI) instruction tailored to the individual students needs via telehealth. Provide three hours per week of Braille instruction to enhance literacy skills. Develop and implement customized lesson plans aligned with educational goals and student progress. Collaborate remotely with school staff and families to support the students academic growth and accessibility needs. Maintain accurate records of service delivery and student progress reports.

Desired Qualifications:

Certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) with proficiency in Braille instruction, or candidates excelling solely in one of these areas. Experience working with visually impaired students, especially within secondary education. Ability to deliver telehealth services effectively and engage students in a virtual learning environment. Strong communication skills to coordinate with caregivers and school personnel. Commitment to accommodating and adapting teaching techniques to support student success.

Contract Duration:

Immediate start through approximately May 21, 2027 Compensation is based on an hourly W2 contract ranging from $41 to $46 per hour, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
