Make a daily impact as a Special Education Teacher supporting significantly diverse learners in a vibrant learning environment. This full-time, onsite position centers on teaching in Substantially Separate Classrooms, both at the K-1 and 3rd-5th grade level. Youll serve students with substantial cognitive and physical disabilities, some of whom are non-verbal or on the autism spectrum. Collaboration and compassion are key, as you will work alongside paraprofessionals and RBTs to deliver meaningful, evidence-based instruction and essential care.
Key Qualifications:
Active Special Education teaching certification Experience teaching students with severe disabilities, including those who are non-verbal or require toileting assistance Knowledge of specially designed instruction methods and curriculum Strongly prefer experience with applied behavior analysis (ABA) Ability to work collaboratively with classroom teams and related service providers Patience, empathy, and commitment to fostering communication and independence Experience supporting children on the autism spectrum is highly desirable
Responsibilities:
