Job Description

Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting young learners with significant needs in an onsite special education environment. This full-time role involves working in substantially separate classrooms for K1st grade and 3rd5th grade students near Adams, MA. The students youll support present with diverse strengths and challenges, including severe cognitive and physical disabilities. Some require toileting assistance, are non-verbal, or are on the autism spectrum. Enthusiastic candidates who thrive in thoughtfully structured, nurturing classrooms are encouraged to apply.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid teaching certification in Special Education Previous experience in substantially separate classrooms strongly preferred Knowledge and hands-on experience with specially designed instruction Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) familiarity is highly desirable Comfortable supporting students with multiple, complex needsincluding toileting and physical assistance Ability to collaborate smoothly with RBTs and support staff Compassionate demeanor and unwavering patience when working with children with severe disabilities
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized instruction to students in K1 and 35 substantially separate classroom settings Implement IEP goals using evidence-based practices Develop and adapt materials and lessons that accommodate a wide range of learning and physical needs Provide one-on-one or small group instruction Assist with daily care needs, including toileting, mobility, and communication supports Collaborate with educational professionals (including RBTs, paraprofessionals, and therapists) to create supportive learning environments Maintain accurate progress documentation and communicate effectively with families as needed Youll impact the lives of students who need creative educators to help them achieve their full potential, all in a contract role ideal for passionate, skilled travelers.
